I heard the Voice of God
I was going through some old computer files and came accross this i wrote in the summer of 2005. I hope it encourages you as much as it did me when I read it today.
I heard the Voice of God

Summer of 1995
You won't believe it but I actually heard God's voice today!!
I know I did, it was as clear as day!!!
I thought that His voice sounded a lot like mine
It was because it was coming from down deep inside
My heart was pounding...My stomach was churning,
I thought I was going out of my mind
This feeling I felt, wasn't full of fear
BUT it was A KNOWING that the ALMIGHTY GOD was near.
I remember praying, just this morning, asking God to hear His voice.
I said, "Lord, All I want is for you to say something to me...
Im open Im ready...now its your choice!!!"
Then I heard it, I actually heard God's voice today!
He told me He had something to say...
The Lord said to get ready this was going to blow me away
It was about His Purpose, His Plan, His Way!!
I was astonished at the words He said,
"YOUR FUTURE, THE PATH THAT I HAVE PREPARED...JUST TAKE MY HAND AND YOU'LL BE LEAD."
He showed me the life that I am called to live
And all the hungry hearts for God, that I will give.
"MY POWER WILL GROW MORE AND MORE INSIDE OF YOU!
AS YOU LET MY HANDS GUIDE YOUR HANDS, I WILL PUT THEM TO GOOD USE!"
Then I saw My hands being anointed throught
"FOR THE SAME ANOINTING ON JESUS IS UPON YOU" He pointed out.
THe Lord then advised me to be on the watch for that thief
He said, "IF YOU DONT THAT SLIMEBALL WILL TRY TO BRING YOU A LOT OF GRIEF"
"KEEP YOU EYES TURNED TOWARDS ME
AND REMEMBER WHAT YOU'VE HEARD AND SEEN"
I Promised to keep every word in my heart
And I told the Lord that Im ready and waiting for the cue to start
No appointment, no busy signal, no pushing myself through some line
But God came to me right in His time
Like I said, I did hear the voice of God today...
And what He said, made me realize that He knew me in a special way!
