I’m an OVERCOMER

It was Wednesday, just 2 days after hearing the diagnosis and I was driving to work.  From the moment, I learned about the DCIS.  I decided that I was not going to be afraid of this and I was going to have complete trust in God's Faithfulness.

As I was praising the Lord and worshiping Him, I heard the Lord tell me:

"You are not going to be a 'survivor' of this cancer, you are going to be an Overcomer of this cancer! A survivor is one that is a victim that survived and you are not going to be a victim of cancer you will OVERCOME this cancer!"

GOD IS SO AWESOME!!!!! This is my word from God that I will be standing on.  Praise the Lord for His To get a better understanding of what an overcomer actually is I did some research:

According to Webster.com overcome means:
1.)    to get the better of : win a victory over
2.)    SURMOUNT <overcome difficulties>
3.)    OVERWHELM
4.)    to gain the superiority : WIN
5.)    CONQUER

Then I went to the Scripture and there is so many scriptures that talk about being victorious over the enemy but I really was lead to this one in particular:

Revelation 12:11 (Amplified Bible)Amplified Bible (AMP)Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation
11   And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb [Jesus, the Anointed one and His Anointing) and by the utterance of their testimony.

Today I met with the surgeon.  And She basically told me that I need a mastectomy because the quadrant of the breast that is affected, the best way to get rid of it and be sure it doesn't comeback is taking it all.

It obviously was not what I wanted to hear, however I'm still an Overcomer, so even if this is what this one doctor thinks it doesn't mean it is what God has in store for me.  I did not have a peace with this doctor; even though she is VERY Qualified, I just felt that she was very negative experience. Even the nurses were really cold and abrupt.
I know when you are dealing with something so awful like cancer day in and day out, it's hard to put a smile on your face.  When people ask me how I am doing, I say "Good, how are you?"  (I know that it is all good Cause God is Good and his Mercy Endures forever.  He's got it all under control!)

SO the next step is for us to do an MRI, also test to see if ths DCIS has estrogen receptors and progesterone receptors.  She also thought I might have a hereditary gene that may have been past down to me from my Grandmother (she had ovarian cancer) and wants to test to see if I have "inherited" this from her.  I will take the test, but I know that every generation curse has been broken and the Lord has healed me.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified Bible)Amplified Bible (AMP)Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation17   Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
So now Erik and I have decided to meet with another surgeon that we feel more comfortable with.  So please pray that the Lord Leads us to the right people and for Divine appointments and connections to find the right doctor.I have been so blessed by everyone's words of encouragement and prayers, and phone calls.  I thank you for your standing in agreement with me.

Blessed Beyond Belief,
Estreitta

Luke 10:19 (New International Version)New International Version (NIV)Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Praising the Lord in the Midst of a Trial

Never in a million years would i think that i would be dealing with this, especially at my age. But I praise the Lord Even still, because His name is Great and Greatly to be Praised.

A few weeks ago i had some strange symptoms and went to the doctor to "Check things out" and they sent me to go to get some more test which lead to a biopsy last Wednesday.
well my friends, i have some news to share with you.  yesterday, i was diagnosed with a non-invastive form of breast cancer called DCIS, Ductal Carcinoma in Situ. and Still i will Praise The Lord with all that is within me!

On Thursday Aug 31, Erik and I will be meeting with a surgeon and I will let you know what happens as a result of that appointment. Moreso, I will Praise the Lord, for He is Good and his Mercy Endures for ever.

in the Mean time I need you to pray in agreement with us.

First and Foremost, Pray that the Power of the Holy Spirit heal my body by destroying every cancer cell even the so called "dormant" cancer cells from ever growing again.  Pray the God gives us a Surgeon, Oncologyst and nurses that have Wisdom, knowledge and trust in the Lord with all their Heart, Soul and Mind.  Pray for favor with the insurance to assist us with payment for any test, treatments, and surguries i might have to undergo. Pray for our finances. (as I have heard the medical bills can be astronomical) Pray for my close friends and Family for strength and continual peace to be with them as they support me through this trial. Pray for me to Remember God's Promises and purposes I know he has for me. and Then Praise Him For His healing power, his provision, his favor, and strength and peace and His promises, because they never fail.

Thank you for your prayers and support.  I truly am greatful for the people I am surrounded by not only in proximity but also on myspace.
